The sectional garage door, manufactured by the German company Hörmann, model LPU 42, is designed for individual residential construction. The door has dimensions of standard, with a width of 5400 mm and a height of 2300 mm.

Sections

The segments have no additional ribs. In the manufacturer\'s informational materials, they are designated as type L ribs – high. The sections of the garage door are made of two layers of hot-dip galvanized sheet metal approximately 1 mm thick, with a foam filling in between that serves as thermal insulation. The external surface of the segments is coated with paint in the color RAL7024 (Graphite grey). The internal surface of the segments is coated with paint in the color RAL9002. The side frames have a white Woodgrain surface. For an additional charge, frame covers with a Silkgrain surface in the color RAL7024, identical to the color of the garage door segments, can be purchased. The set also includes a lintel alignment cover. Its surface and color match the color of the garage door segments.

Type N Guidance - Torsion Springs

In its basic configuration, the door is equipped with type N guidance. The balancing system relies on torsion springs and cable drums mounted on a shaft above the door. The system is equipped with a safety mechanism to prevent the door panel from falling due to spring breakage, as well as internal carrying cables placed on the sides.

Lintel

Required space and mounting dimensions are among the most important parameters of any door. This door requires a lintel height of at least 210 mm and a minimum of 90 mm on each side. When using the ThermoFrame set to increase the door’s thermal insulation, the required lintel height is 255 mm.

Height to Ceiling

Another very important parameter. For a standard door, the ceiling must not be too low, but also not too high. In the case of ceilings that are too low, the door simply cannot be installed. For very high ceilings, additional mounting elements must be purchased or a supporting structure must be constructed.

The calculated mounting dimensions for this door, along with the standard type N guidance, are shown in the adjacent diagrams. All dimensions are provided in millimeters.

Finishing Options

In the standard version, the guides and connecting rails are not painted. If the Premium or Premium Plus* version is chosen, the frame, guides, and connecting rails will be painted in white-grey based on RAL9002.
